Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup coffee beans, coarsely crushed
  • 1 cup vodka

Instructions

  • Coarsely crush fresh coffee beans with a rolling pin, or with one or two pulses in a coffee grinder. Pour into a glass jar.
  • Next, pour vodka over the beans.
  • Then, seal the jar tightly and store it in a cool, dark place.
  • After that, shake the jar gently once a day. This helps to distribute the flavor evenly.
  • Let the extract sit for at least a week. For a deeper flavor allow to steep longer, you can continue the infusion while using from the jar.
  • Finally, strain the extract if desired, or leave the beans in the jar for stronger flavor over time.

Notes

  • Choose medium or dark roast for bold flavor.
  • Label your jar with the start date.
  • Let it steep longer for stronger flavor. Time improves depth.
  • Infuse in a glass jar, away from direct sunlight.
